IT ALL STARTED WITH A LOVE FOR FLOWERS

Hello! I am so happy you are here, let me tell you a little bit about myself.

Elderflower Florist was established in 2019 by me - Rachel McGill, beginning as a quite love for flowers in my home town of New Plymouth, NZ. What started as small floral moments shared online slowly grew into something deeper. In 2024, the same year I became a mother to my daughter Flora, I also chose to fully step into wedding floristry. That season of life reshaped how I see beauty - slower, softer and more intentional. Elderflower is a reflection of that journey. Rooted in storytelling, emotion and creating florals that feel deeply personal.

Our focus is wedding florals - I love connecting with couples, understanding what they are drawn to and how they want their day it feel, then translating that into romantic, timeless florals

To me, flowers are more then something that looks pretty, flowers are a sensory experience. Smell, texture, colour, movement. They will forever hold memories of your special day.

I have worked all around New Zealand freelancing for weddings and events working alongside some incredibly talented florists.
